St. Eugene Golf course is a wonderful combination of length and design strategy that will surely challenge both the player and the enthusiast. The overall design concept of Les Furber places an emphasis on "shot value" — good shots should always be rewarded. Nowhere is this more evident than in the tee shot. Your target off the tee of each par 4 should be the 150-yard markers located in the centre of each fairway. Tee shots on the par 5s that are directed away from the fairway bunkers will leave you in the ideal position to "go in two" or lay up. Be aware of the pin placements on these large undulated greens. Many of our greens are over 30 yards in depth placing a premium on club selection for your shorter approach shots! You will negotiate your way around the golf course successfully by playing to the middle of the green, regardless of pin positions, on your longer approach shots. The St. Eugene Golf Course winds its way through open links land, rolling woodlands, and scenic riverside vistas. Renowned golf course architect Les Furber has captured the spirit of this historic setting by carving out a "classic" layout that flows naturally through these different environments. Opening in May of 2000, St. Eugene met with immediate accolades from golfers and in 2001, was bestowed the honor of 3rd Place in the prestigious "Best New Canadian Golf Courses" category by Golf Digest Magazine. Since then, the project has come to completion with the addition of the renovated historic St. Eugene Resort Hotel and Casino of the Rockies. A friendly and relaxing atmosphere awaits all who use the resort as a base for their golfing holiday. On behalf of the owners and all of the staff we welcome you to the St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino. We sincerely hope that your golf experience with us is memorable.
